I hope the rest goes easily and quickly for your dd and for you.

I’m sure it’s hard not to worry but there is every reason to believe that she will be back to her usual young self before you know it. Many girls and women move ahead with relief rather than with the longer term negative impacts that our generation were constantly warned of. A friend had a termination when we were young and it in no way defined her or changed her or had any lasting negative impact on her life.

I hope the rest of the process is easy on her. I got pregnant at 18 and I remember so clearly thinking I "just want it to go away", to rewind my life back a few weeks for it not to have happened. I'm really glad we voted to make choices available for people in your daughters circumstances. In a few days time it'll all be over

Best of luck to her taking the rest of the tablets today. I'm glad we have choices now but it doesn't make it easier emotionally, it's great she has you for 100% support.

Be thinking of you both today xx

It must be tough going through this with her. I do think that your dh is right and that you should go out. Not only would it be good for you both, but also in communicating to your dd that life now goes on iykwim. It might be very good for her boyfriend to be involved in being with her as part of his realisation of the responsibilities that come with sex, the possible repercussions etc etc

Wishing you all well.

Well done.

OP, I’ve been reading all along and keeping you and your DD in my thoughts. Hope today goes well too. I agree with all the others who have said you have handled this so well. Your DD is lucky to have you.

Thinking of you all today & hope you got out for a few hours. Very difficult for you & not surprised you want to roll up in a ball. You have been an amazing support to your DD. Hope she’s doing ok today x

Hi everyone.
Thanks for all your thoughts.
Yesterday is a day I don’t ever want to repeat. Dd was in a lot of crampy pain for about 4 hours but she is doing ok now and managing the pain with some painkillers.
She is feeling ok but a bit weepy which I presume is normal. She says while she knows what she did was right for her she still feels guilty. I am sure this is all normal too and will pass.
She is in good form also and seems relieved in another way.
I just want to say thank you all for your kind words and support. I felt in a very lonely place last week and you will never know how much it actually helped me.
