Just want to say how generous it is to the OP for updating.
No one should ever feel obliged to update but as HM members I think many of us can become very invested in stories like these and there is genuine compassion and caring about how protagonists fare over time. But aside from filling a void which might be based on compassion or just nosy curiosity un update like this is so, so valuable for any poster who might find themselves in a similar position. Wishing Mother and daughter (and boyfriend) all the very best.
