Re: Bullying at school
Maybe the school want him dropped and collected as they are afraid he will harm himself?

Re: Bullying at school
Your son didn't retaliate, he defended himself. I'd report the assault to the Gardai and tell them you want to prosecute. He'll probably get a caution at best but at least his parents will be aware. Also tell them that the school has told you that your son is not safe on the bus.
If the other school is aware of the bullying and still puts him at the end of the waiting list it definitely not the school for him.

I'm so sorry your son is going through this. Its absolutely heartbreaking for you all.
Apart from looking for a place for him elsewhere, I think I would go to the school (bring someone DH or someone else) and meet face to face to find out exactly why they feel he shouldn't travel alone to and from school. The suspension would annoy me too given the acknowledged that your son retaliated and didn't start it, and given the history there it doesnt seem appropriate.
A piss poor response from the school. My heart would say keep him home now and don't send him back there again, but how practical is that and why shouldnt he have school and live a normal life. I'm pissed off for you that the school arent doing what they should be.
