Possibly a stupid question, but what is a Wendy. I get the gist from the posts above, but why Wendy?

Mumsnet seem to use Wendy as an expression for a woman you introduce to your friends who then takes over the group and pushes you out. But I've also heard it used as a description for someone who is the sole female in a group of male friends, like Wendy with the Lost Boys from Peter Pan.

The mumsnet Wendy just comes from a thread years ago where the OP called the woman who was pushing her out Wendy.

We used the word Wendy to imply someone was a wuss.. cant remember who said it first.

LM I'd be very careful. She sounds like a looper.
