Enquiry

#1 Post by New job »

Hi all,
My husband is starting a new job next week and will be earning approx €14 per hour or €560 p/w.

We have 5 kids (although eldest is over 22 so maybe dosen't qualify) & I do not work. Will we be entitled to get family income supplement and dividend?

If so can someone help me work out a rough estimate of how much we can expect to get?
Thanks in advance

Firstly need to calculate net pay so would need to know if his job is public sector or private..
Also his usc contribution will vary depending on if you have a medical card or not..pm me if you wish

490 net pay per week.

Rate for 4 kids for WFP is 834 per week.

834 - 490 = 344 afaik you get 60% of the difference so

344 x60% = 206.40 is what I think you'd get. I could be wrong of course but that's my reading of it.

Based on 560 per week gross pay from public sector..

Rates will increase end March so you might get another small increase then

Sorry I should have said €14 an hour after tax.

I think we can get the dividend too ? Maybe I'm wrong. :loveletter;

834-560=274

X60% = 164.40

I think!

Back to work family dividend. It's if your on jsa over a year you get a weekly payment for 2 years (second year is half what you got first year).
