2 ad & 4 kids (2 teens & eat a lot ) during the summer 200 a week all in aldi & maybe pop to the shop once in between but term time hopefully it’ll reduce even to 170 and no shop popping
Dd1 is mad into smoothies all summer for breakfast so the fruit bill is sky high .
Wine, toiletries are incl in that bill and generally we don’t do take away so it’s 7 dinners , I find I’m buying a lot of shite food tho this summer , boxes of ice pops , 3 pkts of choc croissants , 3/4 boxes of breakfast bars & now the younger kids are at the stage where if after a day or two all of that is gone ( which it is) they are giving out stink about it ! I’m going to go back to meal planning this week now as we are all back to school & cutting back on shite food.

Dunnes toilet roll 9 pk is 2.79
clothes Detergent 2.69 and its good
Dish tablets 2 euro
Any bleach or anti bac spray 1.00

Shampoos etc i wait and get them on offer all under 2.50 euro

So if you plan it well it doesnt add a huge amount on .

Ha! I bought 6 of those today and they were hoovered up by 2 of my boys and my nephew in less than 5 minutes as I was unpacking the shopping. I got 3 max.

About 650 a month for 1 adult, 2 teens and a tween. Mostly Lidl and some top up shops. Lots of fruit and berries here too. 1 pizza delivery per month costing around €30.

Apparently we never have any food though...

It helps that Ive one fussy eater (asd), and I also meal plan all my dinners every week. We all love soup (except said child) soo Id make a huge pot & freeze some for lunches.

I dont buy much snacks either. I shop only in Aldi (except for choc croissants in Lidl). If I go somewhere else I dont get as much for my money.
And every cent of my money is accounted for (thanks mam for doing my budget!), so I have to keep it at that amount.

ETA: I dont buy alcohol.

We're nearing that stage and mine are only 6 and 7. I dread to think what they're going to go through as they get older.

DH eats in work 3/4 nights a week in work and I generally don't have proper dinners on those nights, so our bills are a good bit lower a result.

I agree on the teenage boys, my god they can put some food away and ds is stick thin. I’ve no idea where he puts it!

Spend about €130 a week in aldi 2+2 but dh has a full subsidized dinner in work, that will change in nov so the bill will go up.

2 adults 2 teens, we spend around €150 a week in Tesco, sometimes more if extra toiletries are needed. I shop online so I buy mostly the same stuff and see where my money is going, almost €40 is fruit/veg alone at the moment. We eat well, I could (and have) cut the shopping cost back if I bought more frozen/convenience foods. Our Aldi isn’t great, Lidl is small so wouldn’t get anywhere near a full shop. Our dog only costs around €14 per month.
