if you have these concerns then fellow sna's must have noticed or have the same concerns and even some parents.

give as much information as you can so that it is not seen as a personal vendetta.

best of luck.

This is the principal's fault for letting this happen. I'm not sure how best to go about it but please do take this further. I've had lunatics teach me years ago and I know my kids are so lucky in their current schools. My kids have special needs too and the affect of a teacher like this on them would be an absolute disaster and would make home life hell for all of us. Having a good teacher and routine in school has done amazing things for my most challenging child, I can only imagine what he would be like if his teacher was not up to the job.
Please take it further.

Thank you for all your encouragement and links and information. I have to stay anon throughout so I can't give ages or location .
I am worn out from today and am going to sleep on it and approach this with more clarity and confidence. I am terrified.

I'm really concerned. I really want to know if this is a teacher at my DD's school.

Very frightening - DD is such a school and has big issues with her teacher but until now I've been hoping they've all been a little exaggerated and part of her settling in. What terrrifies me is until you mentioned the loud music I thought you might be talking about DD's teacher. Would be awful to think colleagues would stand by but I also know how hard it is to speak up so well done. What age are the kids she teaches?

If you work in the same school you can claim "whistleblower" protections in certain circumstances. If you have access to legal advice through an insurance policy or union membership it would be a good idea to avail of it.

Please please please find the courage to report this. I know whatever route is needed it will be hard to do but you can do so much for those poor children.
I do not envy your position one bit but please, as the parent of a special needs child, please speak out. You have taken the first step here.

I would report, report and report until something was done. If it was my own sister I would report and give my name if I had to. What a fucker she is. As a poster above said well done for being the one to step up and do something about it.

I am following this with interest. Genuinely interested in whether a report can be made anonymously to Tusla/SENO or the teaching council.

I don't know what channels you would need to go through but as a parent of a child with moderate learning disability I applaud your bravery in speaking up for these children. Thankyou so much
